Well Site Supervision

Completions and workover consulting on location

By Robert Adam Clifford, Lost Cabin Consulting LLC ยท Updated October 15, 2026

A well site supervisor, the company man, is the operator's representative on location. He runs the job to the program, keeps every service company working safely and in order, makes the calls when the well does something unexpected, and reports back every day.

The work

Adam supervises completions and workovers on conventional and high-pressure shale wells: horizontals, verticals, multilaterals and co-planar laterals. That covers snubbing and workover rigs, coiled tubing, slickline and E-line, fishing, cementing, testing, remedial work, abandonment, casing exits and sidetracks, artificial lift, and stand-alone and rig-assisted fracture stimulation.

Experience

More than 24 years in the field, from shop hand and derrick hand to rig pusher, completions and workover consultant, and fishing and isolation tool contractor, with thousands of wells and jobs completed without an accident or release. Operators served include Bruin E&P (field superintendent relief over 5 to 10 rigs and 10 to 30 consultants), Enduro Operating, Halcon Resources, Hunt Oil, Kodiak Oil and Gas, Marathon Oil, Merit Energy, Oasis Petroleum, Vanguard Natural Resources, White Rock Oil and Gas, and Whiting Petroleum.

On location

Supervisor-level well control (Wild Well Control, OGOR), PEC SafeLand and SafeGulf, H2S, OSHA 10, first aid and CPR, a Class B Wyoming CDL and a valid passport. Reporting in WellView, OpenWells and WellEZ. A four-season mobile office with Starlink comes to location, with room for company reps to work and meet. Based in Powell, Wyoming, and available for travel worldwide and long-term assignments.
