Magic Treasures Gold

A technical and mathematical review of IGT's Magic Treasures family — the numbered Money Ball pot that sets how many balls drop and how likely the bonus is, Magic Treasures Gold's three pots on the RISE55 cabinet, Magic Rockets' rocket pots, and Everi's MoneyBall, a separate game that shares the name — with two jackpot ladders that are one ladder in credits on their 50-line builds, an envelope multiplier set built from ×2 and ×3, a pot cap that may point to four rows, and a single land return range, printed by a trade magazine.

Executive summary

Magic Treasures is IGT's multi-level progressive family built on a numbered Money Ball pot, and since 2025 a different game called MoneyBall has shared its owner. IGT listed Magic Treasures among "standalone core videos" for G2E 2022 (release of October 3, 2022) and called it "the high-performing Magic Treasures™ game" for G2E 2023 (October 2, 2023); CDC Gaming says it was "released in fall 2023," and this volume prints both dates and claims no launch month. Two titles, Magic Treasures Dragon and Magic Treasures Tiger, run in Class III, Class II, Australian, online and social builds; Magic Treasures Gold (Emperor and Empress) followed on RISE55 in 2025, and Magic Rockets and Magic Treasures Lock & Respin at G2E 2025 (Table 1.1, §6). Everi's MoneyBall, shown at G2E 2018, is a separate design that shares the name; it came under the same roof when Apollo's purchase of IGT's gaming and digital business and of Everi closed on July 1, 2025.

The original is a 50-line game on an 80-credit cost to cover, and its grid is printed two ways. IGT's copy reads "Magic Treasures Dragon and Tiger is a 50-payline, 80-credit cost-to-cover game"; CDC gives a "maximum bet of 400 credits" and denominations "from a penny to a dime"; and IGT's April 2024 brochure prints " paylines 80 credits" and a volatility of "5/6" on a page that names no title. IGT's Indian Gaming copy says 5×3; the IGT-sponsored Flip The Switch page says Gold "maintains the 5×4 reel set found on the original," and every online and social build of the original is 5×4: the record leans 5×4 and settles neither.

Of the original's three containers, only the number on the Money Ball pot is state. The numbered Money Ball pot, the Free Games chest and the Jackpot coin pile sit above the reels, each filled by its own ball; IGT's demo, as autocaptioned, says "it is a triple pot but one of these pots has a bit of true persistence". The land rules screen, as an advantage-play site reproduces it, says that an increased number of coins in the pot, the chest and the coin pile "has no effect on game play"; Hard Rock Games' rules for its social build — the operator's rules for that build, analogy only for the land game — start the number at 5, show at most 50, stop it above 46, keep "its own pot" for each bet, and say "A higher number also increases the bonus chance." (Figure 2, §5.5, Appendix C).

Magic Treasures Gold triples the numbered pot and splits into a 50-line and a 5-line build. IGT announced it on March 24, 2025 as "the next evolution of the high-performing Magic Treasures theme," premiered it with the RISE55 cabinet at IGA on April 2–3, 2025, and launched it in the US as RISE55's "Class III premium launch title" in a release of June 10, 2025. Money Balls land "green on reel 3, and purple and gold on reel 5"; "Any pot may trigger the bonus."; one triggered pot "can set off the next"; Free Games (Emperor) and Cash Spins (Empress) begin with eight games, and in them the pots "don’t reset between wins". GGB's review gives " paylines on the three low denominations and five paylines on the two highest denominations."; IGT's brochure prints " or 50" credits as the maximum bet on a cost to cover of " or 5".

In credits the original's and Gold's jackpot ladders are the same ladder. Players' meter readings at a named bet put the original's Mini, Minor and Maxi at 10×, 25× and 62.5× the bet and Gold's at 8×, 20× and 50×; all 22 readings in Table 5.6 fit (Tier 3 inputs, this volume's arithmetic; §5.3). Multiplied by each game's cost to cover (100 credits on Gold's 50-line build), both ladders come to 800, 2,000 and 5,000 credits per unit of bet multiplier: Gold's ladder reads 0.8 times the original's in bets only because its cost to cover rose from 80 to 100 credits (this volume's arithmetic; Appendix B). Magic Rockets' readings fit 1,000, 2,000 and 5,000 credits per 88-credit unit, a 1 : 2 : 5 ladder (inference from Tier 3 meters; §5.3, §7.4).

Gold's envelope multipliers are every product of one or two ×2 and ×3 multipliers. IGT lists "2X, 3X, 4X, 6X, or even 9X" for the Mini, Minor and Maxi; the set 2, 3, 4, 6 and 9 is exactly what one or two ×2 and ×3 multipliers make, against the original's single 2x, 3x or 5x (this volume's observation; §5.4). At the top multiplier a Gold Maxi is 450× the bet against the original's 312.5× — 45,000 against 25,000 credits per bet unit on Gold's 50-line build (this volume's arithmetic). Gaming America's "3x, 5x or even 9x the wager amount" is wrong for Gold: IGT lists no 5X.16,35 One land return is in print, and it is a trade magazine's. GGB's spec box of March 4, 2026 gives Gold "RTP Range: 88%-93%" — a hold of 7% to 12% (this volume's arithmetic) — beside a six-value denomination line and "Hit Frequency: Approximately 30%" that GGB prints for other IGT games as well; this volume treats those two lines as stock and the hit frequency as unverified for this game. No pay table of symbol pays is published for any land build, and no regulator publishes a return — the ACT's instruments print none. The online figures — BetMGM's "RTP: 96*" for its Tiger, 92.02% for the UK Gold Emperor, 94% for an online Magic Rockets Dragon — belong to other builds in other channels and never transfer to land.

Magic Rockets adds two rocket pots to two Money Ball pots; Lock & Respin's rules are not published. IGT presented Magic Rockets Tiger and Dragon on RISE55 at G2E 2025 (release of September 29, 2025); IGT's copy describes "two money ball pots, as well as two exhilarating lock and respin bonuses," and GGB "two pots represented by clusters of rockets". A rules line read on camera says the bonus chance rises with each pot's value and that "the lit fuses attached to the rockets have no effect on gameplay" — pots as state, fuses as decoration, on that Tier 3 reading (Appendix C.5). Magic Treasures Lock & Respin, a RISE32 launch title, has no mechanics in any source read.

Everi's MoneyBall is a mystery-event game with five progressives, not a pot game, and its use of the name came first. Everi showed MoneyBall at G2E 2018, and GGB's box of August 26, 2019 gives Empire MPX, a "Five-reel, 40-line video slot," a "primary-game mystery event," and resets of $30, $100, $400, $2,500 and $10,000 for the Mini, Minor, Major, Grand and Ultra. Its slot use of the name precedes IGT's G2E 2022 listing by about four years (this volume's inference from the two dates); Everi Games Inc. owns the MONEYBALL registration, no IGT MONEY BALL mark was found, and no source from IGT, Everi or the trade connects the two games.

The family's market record is a trade award, analysts' charts and one named land jackpot. Gold won "Best Slot Product" in the 2026 GGB Gaming & Technology Awards (IGT release, October 7, 2025); Eilers & Krejcik's June 2025 report says "IGT debuts Magic Treasures Gold - Emperor at the top of the New Premium Lease category," and its August 2026 EMEA report puts Gold Empress at #1.46,47,48 New Jersey's list records $51,120.00 on Magic Treasures Gold Emperor at Borgata on August 15, 2026; the list names no level, and the amount is 5.11 times the $10,000 Grand reset GGB prints (this volume's arithmetic; §7.6). Gold made its international debut at ICE 2026 and reached Chile and Mexico in 2026.

What the volume covers

Section 1 is the orientation: the titles and builds, the companies, regulators and sources behind them, and a timeline. Here a build is one configuration of a title on the record; the Money Ball pot is the numbered container, the Free Games chest and the Jackpot coin pile the other two; a bet unit is one cost to cover (80 credits on the original, 100 or 5 on Gold, 88 on Magic Rockets by inference), so a bet multiplier of 3 is three units; and a value written as a multiple, such as 8×, is that value divided by the total bet. Everi's game is written MoneyBall, IGT's feature Money Ball. Section 2 is the dated record from G2E 2022 to the 2026 jackpot lists; Section 3 the cabinets; Section 4 every rule on the record, by source and tier; Section 5 the mathematics — what is published, the bets, the ladders, the multipliers, the pot, the return, and a register of bad figures; Section 6 the titles and builds. Sections 7 to 10 cover the jackpots, the bets, the market and the law. Appendix A grades the sources, Appendix B shows every calculation, and Appendix C classifies every display that looks like progress.
