Executive summary
A Lock It Link title that became a franchise. Huff N' Puff is one of what Light & Wonder calls its "long-lived titles," and it began as one more title in a series. The first game was a Lock It Link release whose mark was first used in commerce in October 2018 and which reached floors in 2019; the company's director of product management says it "kind of settled in a bit, and then it just took off." By September 2026 the three pigs and the wolf had carried 21 named titles into 42 documented builds across eight channels, Light & Wonder had moved the franchise from outright sale to lease, and Huff N' Even More Puff had won the EKG award for top new core video game in 2025 and for top omni-channel slot game in 2026.
One presentation, twelve math chassis. Every title shares the hard hat, the house frames and the wolf; beyond that, almost nothing is common. The census identifies twelve structurally different designs: a frame-lock original with no wheel; one-, two- and three-level wheel games; a four-board game; a deed-driven prize board; unlocking rows; feature pots; a column-persistence game; a three-reel line running from a stepper to a 27-way online build; a 6×6 collector grid built by L&W's own ELK Studios; and a multi-reel-set game with a 2026 copyright. Two cabinets carrying the same name can differ in grid, evaluation, jackpot architecture and channel: "Huff N' Lots of Puff" is a feature-pot game on land and a Super Wheel game online.
The paytable is fixed in credits, and the base bet has risen twice. Light & Wonder's own social-casino arm, SciPlay, sets out the convention on its Flip The Switch blog: the original cost 75 credits and paid 300 credits for the top symbol, four times the bet; Huff N' More Puff kept 75 credits and halved the symbol to 150; Huff N' Even More Puff raised the base to 100 credits; the Grand edition raised it "by another 25%," to 125.13,14 Because the prizes stay in credits, each step cuts what they are worth against the bet: the 750-credit mansion minimum falls from 10× to 7.5× to 6.0× the bet, and the top symbol from 4× to 1.2×. The source is the manufacturer's own affiliate, not an independent one, and a 50-credit maximum-bet configuration on Even More Puff shows that the 100-credit base is the standard configuration's, not every cabinet's.
The published mathematics is unusually complete for a land franchise. Five manufacturer-supplied specification blocks give selectable land returns from 86.50% to 94.25%, hit frequencies from 23.31% to 32%, maximum bets, denominations and resets, including a Super jackpot that resets at 1.5 million credits — $3 million at the $2 denomination. Online, L&W's own pages list the return versions: 96, 94, 92, 90 and 87% on six titles, 94 and 92% on Huff N' Xtra Puff and a single 94% on CollectR; and on four builds the published maximum win exceeds the top jackpot, 5,500× against a 5,000× Grand on More Puff and 7,800× against a 7,500× Super on Lots of Puff and Lots of Goals.
The Michigan record belongs to DraftKings, not to the game. On November 26, 2025 a DraftKings Casino player in Michigan won $22,407,248.55 on a $0.20 bet while playing Huff N' Even More Puff. The prize was DraftKings Jackpots, the operator's own progressive, fed by eligible wagers on, by the operator's account from mid-2025, all its games; the pool's previous record, $9.28 million in February 2025, fell on Irish Pot Luck, a different game. The game's own maximum at that bet is $1,500. The hit says nothing about the game's return, volatility or coin-in; Section 7 sets out what an operator-wide pool is and is not.
One cabinet carries board progress between players. Huff N' Puff – We've Had Enuff is a land Class III premium game on the Cosmic Upright 4 Linear cabinet, with 243 ways and an 800-credit maximum bet, and the manufacturer calls its signature mechanic a "Persistence Feature." It was announced for the 2025 Indian Gaming tradeshow in March 2025, and its mark was first used on August 27, 2025. On the social build each column's frames run on a three-spin counter, and unfinished progress "will be wiped away" when it expires. The cabinet's own counter rules, how state is kept across players and bet levels, and the prize values are not published: the state is real, bounded to a few spins and cannot be priced (Appendix C). The Hard Hat Edition's hat, by contrast, is "perceived persistence" in the manufacturer's own words — perceived progression, which carries nothing of value to the next player — and the franchise's only other documented state that outlives a player is the value in its progressive meters.
The channel record is wider than any single floor. A Class II iteration of Huff N' Even More Puff was presented at the 2024 Indian Gaming tradeshow; the franchise entered video lottery in 2023–24 and the stepper line with Huff N' Puff 3; New Hampshire charitable casinos carry Huff N' More Puff and Grover Gaming is to feature the brand at G2E 2026; Caesars streams a physical Even More Puff cabinet to online players in New Jersey; and FanDuel ran a quarterly series of exclusives from February 2025, one of which its parent calls its "most successful game launch to date." The trademark register holds 32 filings for 24 names, four of them machine names with no announced product.
What the volume covers
Section 1 is the orientation: twelve chassis under one wolf, sold through eight channels. Sections 2 and 3 cover Light & Wonder, the lineage from a 2018 Lock It Link title to the G2E 2026 lineup, and the cabinets. Section 4 is the mechanical core, the We've Had Enuff persistence mechanic included. Section 5 is the mathematics: the credit convention and its source, the land specifications, the online return menus, maximum wins, feature buys and a register of bad figures in circulation. Section 6 is the census and the trademark register; Section 7 the jackpots, from credit meters to the DraftKings pool; Sections 8 to 10 bets, market and regulation. Appendix A grades every source, Appendix B shows every calculation and Appendix C is the persistent-state register, ending with the perceived-progression classification.
