Each volume is a PDF with tables, figures, and full source notes. It reads well on a laptop or tablet and prints cleanly on letter paper. You can read page 1 of any volume before you buy by clicking its thumbnail on the Slot Intelligence page.

Not for a reel slot. A volume reports the return settings that a manufacturer, regulator, operator, or the trade press has published and names the source, but the casino picks which setting each machine runs, and that setting usually isn't shown on the machine. Where nothing is public, the volume says so, and any model it builds is labeled as a model, not presented as fact. Video poker is the exception: the paytable posted on the machine sets the return, and Vol. X gives the exact return with best play for 239 pay schedules.

No volume guarantees a win. Each one explains how a franchise's math is built and where the published numbers come from, and slots carry a house edge. Where a genuine advantage-play condition exists, the volume documents it along with what it really takes, and playing it can still lose money.

Printed strategy cards are legal in the US, and most casinos let players check one at the table during play. Look at the card before your turn so the game keeps moving, and if a dealer asks you to put it away, do it. More on using them at the table.

Every card is 2.5 x 3.5 in, the size of a playing card. You get wallet-size, letter, and tabloid PDFs. Print the sheets two-sided at Actual Size, flipping on the long edge, then cut on the crop marks.

Print the duplex registration test page that comes with the cards. If it shows your printer is off, email the two numbers and you will get a file adjusted for your printer.
